Cristiano Ronaldo toasts to ‘happiness’ as he takes in the sun during his latest holiday as he serves two match ban

During his suspension from the football pitch, Cristiano Ronaldo has been making the most of his time with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children on a beautiful holiday.

The 39-year-old received a red card in Al-Nassr’s Super Cup semi-final defeat to Al-Hilal earlier this month, resulting in a two-match ban. As a result, Ronaldo will not be back in action until the King Cup of Champions semi-finals on May 1, when his team faces Al-Khaleej.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has taken advantage of the enforced hiatus to his season and jetted off on holiday with his family.

Ronaldo shared images on X, formerly Twitter, including one of himself and Rodriguez in the sea with one of their children as well as the pair enjoying a drink in what looks to be a sauna.

He caption the images with the simple message: ‘Happiness.’ Rodriguez also shared some intimate snaps of the happy couple.

Fans would have noticed this as the second getaway since the former Manchester United forward has taken since his dismissal for violent conduct earlier this month.

This holiday marks Ronaldo’s second getaway since his suspension. In his absence, his team managed a win in a match against Al Feiha.

But the encounter was not without incident. Without their usual penalty taker, the Riyadh-based outfit turned to ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane when they were awarded a penalty on the brink of half-time.

Unfortunately for Luis Castro’s side, the Senegalese ballooned his attempt well over the crossbar. Ultimately, though finally make good of their momentum when Saudi defender Abdulelah Al-Amri levelled the game on 72 minutes.

Having seized the initiative the hosts pushed on and Mane atoned for his earlier mistake to fire them in front on 76 minutes before adding a third with a sublime solo run moments later.

Despite his absence, Ronaldo shared his congratulations to his teammates in a post on social media, writing: ‘Well done, Team’.
