Marcus Rashford condemns racist abuse, with Man Utd and England Star Saying ‘enough is enough’

The England star has seen a drastic decline in form, going from a season-best tally of 30 goals in the previous campaign to just eight in the current one.

Support for the 26-year-old has waned among Red Devils fans, who even booed him when he was substituted during Sunday’s FA Cup semifinal victory over Coventry.

The England international, writing in the Players’ Tribune in February, said: “If you back me, good. If you doubt me, even better.”

But responding to a post on X that called the treatment of Rashford “absolutely disgusting”, “cruel” and “abuse”, the United forward said: “I appreciate your support! It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough.”

Ten Hag, addressing the issue at a press conference, expressed empathy for Rashford’s situation, recognizing his stellar performance last season and acknowledging the criticism he has faced this season.

The Dutch coach emphasized the need for support to help Rashford return to his previous form.

He said: “I’ve sympathy for Rashy. Last year, he had a brilliant season, the best in his career.

This season, he didn’t give the performances and people have been very critical.

“Everyone should back him to get back to the levels of last year. He needs the support.”

Rashford, who was absent for the midweek win against Sheffield United, will once again be sidelined when injury-hit United face Burnley on Saturday.
