If everything goes according to plan, the cable cars leading to Arví Park in Santa Elena could be operating by November of this year. Medellin’s Metro gave a positive report as far as progress made on the new line, which will be a tourist attraction.

Work is underway on the foundations for the Santo Domingo Savio transfer station; excavations have been completed in El Tambo, the end station.

With construction underway at the Santo Domingo Savio Station, Arví Park’s touristic ‘Metrocable’ line should be operating in 10 months, after a cost of 44, 5 billion pesos.

The new line, part of Medellín’s Metro, will stretch out for 4, 6 Km and have only 2 stations, one for transfer and another for the return. In order to begin works in Santo Domingo, it was necessary to purchase and demolish 64 homes and businesses.
