Approximately 25 thousand children of levels 1 and 2 will have access to a comprehensive plan, according to a deal signed yesterday between the Mayor’s Office and the Ministry of Education. The proposal is the only one of its kind in the country and, for the National Government, is the most important pilot program for early childhood; depending on the results, it could be a model for the rest of the country.

The Ministry will contribute 35 billion pesos and the city 105 billion. The Minister of Education said that, given the importance of the program, the goal is to ensure funds through the year 2011.
