The National Government urged the Supreme Court to adhere to the Constitution and select an Attorney General as is their obligation.

Both Minister of the Interior, Fabio Valencia Cossio, and President Alvaro Uribe Velez reiterated that they’ve followed the guidelines established by the Constitution to select the three candidates from which the Court must choose, and will not modify the list.
