Obama suggests 319 million for Colombia

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, suggested 319 million dollars in aid for Colombia’s fight against drugs in the upcoming fiscal year, which starts in October.

That sum is a slight reduction compared to the previous year’s 328,5 million. The money, part of Plan Colombia, is used to fight drug trafficking, guerrillas and paramilitary groups and funds rehabilitation and prevention programs.
