Illegal immigrants caught in Urabá
Six immigrants from Bangladesh and 15 from Nepal attempting to travel to Panama from Colombia by land and later to Central America were found in the Gulf of Urabá by Colombian coast guard and Army officials.
The 21 foreigners, who had entered the country illegally, were being transported by an armed Colombian citizen. They were trying to leave from the municipality of Acandí, in Chocó.
The immigrants are now in the hands of Colombian Immigration authorities and the Colombian is in custody as well.
In 2012, 49 illegal immigrants were found in the Colombian Carribbean.
