Free housing construction begins tomorrow

Construction will begin today on twenty free housing projects in that same number of towns, as part of the National Government’s plan to give away 5,457 free homes in 55 municipalities other than Medellín.

With a total of 284 projects, the Government is expected to give away 100,000 homes nationwide. Of the 5,457, 3,718 were awarded by the Government and 1,341 are included in the 10,000 given to Medellín, but they will be built outside the city thanks to a plan that allows victims of forced displacement the chance to return to their lands.

Good for Vargas Lleras…he’d be getting at least 100 thousand votes for ‘his presidency’ not like in Guarne Antioquia where former Mayor Mauricio Montoya got the monies from 720 families to build same number of apartments at La Brizuela four and a half years ago…many of those families are paying high interest on the borrowed monies…so far? Nothing! The only thing he is building is a big building by the entrance to Guarne…Many people believe Mauricio Montoya is using the hard earned monies of hundreds to ‘make his dream come true’ while the dreams a over 3000 people are in ashes….Albertecher thinks so. What about the rest of the 45 thousand inhabitants living at ‘the door to orient?”
