Global crises could affect exports in Antioquia
Medellín’s Chamber of Commerce is standing firm on the idea that Antioquia’s GDP could increase by 4,8 percent this year, even though it went up five percent in 2011. The outlook is in line with the Central Bank’s adjusted forecast, which placed the national GDP’s growth between 3,5 and 4,5 percent, depending on what happens with the markets in Europe, the U.S. and China.
As the frontrunner in exports, Antioquia’s situation could become complex because of its exposure to international markets.
