Not just athletes make it to the Olympics.As a diver, Maria Cristina Ríos never came close to qualifying to the Games, but 20 years later her dream of going to the event is coming true. With experience as both an athlete and a coach, she chose to become a diving judge 12 years ago, and now with a vast array of events under her belt, she was selected to be part of the Colombian Olympic delegation for this year’s games in London. She’s not after a medal, but confessed she does want to be a judge in a final.

Others fulfilling the dream of being at the Olympics are physical therapist, Caroline Avalos; mechanic Daniel Echavarría and soccer coach, Jafeth Orejuela.
