“We are ready for 70 more great years of Haceb,” said company founder, Jose María Acevedo, yesterday during the launch of the book: Haceb 70 years ‘The Future Connects Us”. The company began in a 25 sq-meter shop with only 90 pesos in capital; today Haceb’s heating and cooling divisions are located in Copacabana on 200,000 square meters, the company employs some 3,400 people and 85 percent of its sales are generated in Colombia.

During the ceremony, the president of Eafit University, Juan Luis Mejia, pointed out that Haceb doesn’t just “manufacture and distribute appliances, but also radically improves families’ lives”; Mejía also highlighted the company’s sense of social responsibility and how it transformed everyday life with its products.
