Farc releases French reporter in Caquetá
Farc released French reporter, Romeo Langlois, in the village of San Isidro (Caquetá); after more than a month of captivity, Langlois was handed over to a humanitarian mission made up of representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross; former Colombian senator, Piedad Córdoba, and an envoy of the French government.
In his first statements to the press, Langlois said he was treated well by his captors, “like a guest”; he also touched on a topic that’s been highly controversial ever since his abduction saying he hopes the Army “keeps taking reporters to areas of conflict and that there are reporters willing to go with the guerrilla to observe their daily lives, because this conflict does not get covered.”
Langlois’ release, however, doesn’t resolve issues like “non-extortive” kidnappings and how the press should cover the armed conflict.

How come? Everybody, even french journalists…NT24 tv….all media and even Pitty Cordoba knows…everyone, but I mean, everybody knows where all thugs of farc are…!!! everyone except Colombian Army, Navy, police…It’s hard to believe! Year afte year the budget for the military grows and grows….We watch all over the main broadcasters showing thousands of guerrillas come and go like a dog through the house….but the military does not see them…It makes me laugh….Mr. Saint is just that…too saint to go after or send his army, since he is ‘the commander in chief’ he is not showing enough authority…that’s why we need an iron’willed guy like ex-president Alvaro Uribe. A country without Democratic Security is doomed to hell.! Alberteacher from Bilingual Colombia thinks so. What about you?

I’m still waiting for some kind of answer from the Government, from Presidente Saint all the way down to regular army and police officers…how come this french journalist knew where these killers are and they don’t know anything or have any idea….I wonder! only in Colombia kids…only in Colombia.
